Forest management in a changing climate: Building the environmental information base for southwest Yukon
Forest management in a changing climate: Building the environmental information base for southwest Yukon

  Backgrounders

Assessments of available information on climate change and forest management are underway. The intent is to describe results to date, assess gaps in our knowledge base, and identify issues and implications of climate change for forest management through an examination of existing, documented sources of scientific literature and local knowledge.

In each of the backgrounders, the following is discussed: impacts that have been detected that are attributed to climate change; impacts that are projected for the coming century; information gaps and research needs; and possible implications to forest management.
